After Australian fires, how are Governments fighting climate change? Apparently by continuing to do nothing according to Greta Thunberg.
2019 was the warmest year on record. It ended with several bush fires across Australia. Since then, largely nothing has been done about climate change to bring long term changes.
Greta Thunberg, teen activist took the floor at the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Saturday 21st and slammed global leaders for not taking enough action against climate change
At the conference, Thunberg discussed the findings of a 2018 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report, which showed that carbon emissions need to be cut to reduce the rise in global temperatures.
Since so many international leaders are still not addressing climate change efficiently, some completely denying it, Thunberg will not give up her fight for a better planet.
“Our house is still on fire,” Thunberg explained. “Your inaction is fueling the flames by the hour, and we are telling you to act as if you loved your children above all else.”
“I wonder, what will you tell your children was the reason to fail and leave them facing the climate chaos you knowingly brought upon them?”
