BURNA BOY CONTINUES HIS DOMINATION OF AFROBEATS

Posted by : admin / Posted on : July 25, 2019

When Burnaboy showed up on Beyonce’s-curated ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ with a solo song, the whole world had to pause to recognize that not only had this not been done before, but it also meant that Burnaboy had eclipsed all other Afrobeats (some might argue all) artists as the most prominent of 2019.

So when he announced his upcoming album for Friday, 25th July 2019, was to be named AFRICAN GIANT, we could see he understood his dominance as well.

In this month alone, he’s been handpicked as Apple Music’s ‘Up Next’ artist, and very recently made a debut appearance on primetime comedy/talk show, ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, hosted by popular TV personality Jimmy Kimmel.

(watch his jimmykimmel performance here🙂

With AFRICAN GIANT, Burnaboy teams up with Jorja Smith, Zlatan, Jeremih and Serani, Manifest, Damian Marley, Future & YG, adding released singles like Anybody, Dangote, Pull up and Gbona. While we have yet to hear any of the other tracks, if they are similar to what he currently has out, we can’t wait to be blown away.

Now, what we want to know is how high can Burnaboy fly? To that, he would probably respond: “Watch me”
