In this story, we take a look at the next group of Nigerian Influencers, who are the Gen Z Nigerian Influencers?

As of 2019, the youngest millennial is 23 and the youngest 90s baby is 20. Think about that, while the rest of us take a look at the upcoming influential Nigerians on social media in Nigeria.

From art, performance, entrepreneurship and fashion, these Gen-Zers are making their mark, let’s take a look at 13.

 

1. Rema

Rema is a performance artist who was signed by Mavin Records in 2018. In 2019, the teenaged artist has multiple hits, millions of views on YouTube and almost 1million followers on social media. Check out his interview with pitchfork here

 

2. Imade Adeleke

At just 4 years old, Imade Adeleke is already building a brand for herself. The toddler launched an Organic Children Hair Care Line “Aurora by Imade” in May of 2019. She boasts of almost 190k followers on all social media in total!

 

3. Neptune 3

Neptune 3 is made up of 3 sisters, Jemima Damina, Jesimiel Damina, Jeiel Damina who create a Web series on YouTube called “Best friend in the world”. Together they have almost 170,000 subscribers, over 12 million views on Youtube and roughly 10,000 followers across all social media.

 

4. Odunsi (The Engine)

English born Nigerian, Odunsi is a 20-year-old artist and producer, born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. Read about his rise to fame here 

 

5. Daberechi Ukoha kalu

20-year-old Model, Daberechi has worked with international brands like Versace & Armani. Check out her Kobini feature story here.

 

 

6. Kareem Waris

The 11-year-old hyper-surrealism artist who was discovered in 2018, has been featured on news sites like BoredPanda, CNN, BBC. He is followed by Rihanna on social media and boasts of almost 150k followers. Read about his rise and discovery in this BBC article here

 

7. Ashley Okoli

Ashley Okoli is an Instagram influencer, and CEO of Sillet by Ash is known for her interesting style choices. View her curated social profile here

 

8. Amy Okoli

Sister to Ashley Okoli, Amy Okoli is one of the most popular teen Nigerian YouTubers, model and Entrepreneur. She was born in April 2001 making her 18 years old in 2019. Subscribe to her youtube channel here

 

9. Michelle Gentry

Actress Mercy Aigbes daughter, is an Instagram Influencer with over 500k followers, her makeup brand, and model at just 18 years old. Order from her beauty line here

 

10. Dreamcatchers

Despite this being a group, it is made up of 10 talented dancers from Ikorodu in Lagos state all below the ages of 18. The group has been recognized by international celebrities like Beyonce, Diddy, Naomi Campbell and many more. Read their Pulse feature story here

12. Priscilla Ojo

Another Celebrity daughter, this time Iyabo Ojo Daughter is a brand ambassador with a popular clothing line of her own. She has almost 600k fans she regularly interacts with on Instagram, follow her here

 

13. Tay Iwar

The oldest on this list, Tay Iwar Tay Iwar, is a singer, songwriter, audio engineer and record producer. Check out his OkayAfrica interview here
