Highest earning Basketball players of 2020
NBA 2020 finals are scheduled for October with Lakers and Heat competing for the 2020 championship and we are counting down the highest-earning Basketball players of 2020. How much are some of the biggest names getting paid in 2020 alone?
Before we continue, please note that we have included in this list how much they make on and off-court.
1. Lebron James ($88.2m)
Aside from the $28.2m he earns per year player for Los Angeles Lakers, James took in an extra $60m from endorsements and his own media company. He also owns several businesses in the food industry.
2. Stephen Curry ($74.4m)
An NBA all-star player, Stephen was sidelined by an injury sustained in 2019. However, he still earned on the court from his 200m deal with Golden State warrior which was signed in 2017. He has his investment company SC30 which invests in media and more. Also an avid golfer, Curry has signed endorsement deals for golf off the court.
3. Kevin Durant ($63.9m)
Despite his injury that has lasted most of the season, Kevin Durant still pocketed $28.9m from his deal with the Brooklyn nets. He has made an additional $35m from endorsements and investments in Postmates and Acorns and his own media company.
4. Russell West Brook ($56m)
Russell made most of his money thanks to the 5-year extension with OKC Thunder valued at $205m from 2017. He also earned $27m dollars in endorsements as well as earning off his signature shoe with Nike. He also owns 5 dealerships that add to his bank account yearly.
5. James Harden ($47.8m)
James earned $28.8m on the court with his 4-year extension with Houston Rockets worth $171m, off-court, he earned almost $18m from his 10-year $200m shoe deal with Adidas. He also has an ongoing partnership with Amazon.
6. Giannis Antetokounmpo ($47.6m)
On the court, the greek freak earned $20m with his team, The bucks. Off the court, he finally signed his first signature shoe with Nike, the Zoom freak 1 with the highest signing off a Nike signature shoe. He also signed a deal with Disney about his life bringing his endorsements up to $28m.
7. Kyrie Irving $41.9m
Kyrie Irving made $23.9m in salary due to the massive 4 year $141m deal with Brooklyn nets, his signature shoe with Nike is ranked among the top sellers in 2020 and pushes his endorsement total to $18m.
