Posted by : admin / Posted on : January 18, 2021
How to get a high paying job

How to get a high paying job – There are approximately about 70m millionaires in the world, making up 1%. That’s a lot of people.

While some of these people are business owners, the majority are employed in a 9-5 and make most of their money as salary earners.

They might substitute and diversify their income with investment opportunities (read about that here), they make the bulk of their income as high earning 9-5er.

If you’re looking to be one of these people, here are our 7 tips.

1) Research High-Paying careers

To increase your chances of becoming a high salary earner, you’ll need to focus on a career with an average high paying salary. Careers right now are health care, engineering, aestheticism, musician, actor. Research some high paying careers here.

2) Find a role model

Once you have settled on a career it’s time to look into role models. “Who are the highest earners in your chosen field?”, “What skills do they have?”, “How long before they got to those positions?”. This will give you a great idea of the skill set you need to be in their positions.

3) Research high profile companies

Once you have an idea of your needed skillset, it’s time to research companies that can afford to pay you well. While some small companies might be able to afford to hire a few high earning professionals, some companies can afford to hire a lot. Target these companies, the fortune 500 list is a good place to start.

4) Research their recruiters

When you have an idea which companies you want to work with, put in that effort to research their recruiters and recruitment processes. Who do their recruiters value most, what are their hobbies, luckily LinkedIn and Twitter are good platforms to access people in a personal way.

5) Network with their recruiters

Once you know who’s hiring it’s time to network. Share useful information, be friendly, ask for feedback and use your social skills to build a rapport with some recruiters.

6) Brand yourself as an expert in your field

Don’t be afraid to use your social media platforms to brand yourself. Display your accomplishments, skill sets, courses, training and other achievements that display your high skill capacity.

7) Update your CV

Keep your CV regularly updated, do not pass up opportunities to network and enhance your network of people, do not be shy to share your interactions with the world.

8) Apply for jobs

Once you are able to do these, it’s time to apply. Stay updated on openings and apply regularly. Ask your HR friends to put in a good word.

If all else fails, share your learning experiences and plot holes as a way to help those in future avoid some of the mistakes you might have made. It helps to be multilingual and personable!
