LEGIT.NG reports Leah Sharibu gives birth to a baby boy for Boko Haram commander in Niger Republic

– The abducted Dapchi schoolgirl was reportedly married off to a top Boko Haram commander in Niger Republic where she gave birth

– An anonymous source claimed that it was Leah’s pregnancy that stopped the terrorists from releasing her a few months ago

Leah Sharibu is the schoolgirl who was abducted by Boko Haram insurgents in Dapchi, Yobe state in 2018. The young lady put to bed in the early hours of Saturday, January 25, Daily Trust reports.  Leah was 14 years old when she was kidnapped. She was held hostage by the insurgents for allegedly refusing to renounce her Christian faith when her colleagues were released.

Leah was married off to a top Boko Haram commander who lives outside the country. According to the report, Leah gave birth in Niger Republic. The source cited by the newspaper claims that Leah’s pregnancy stopped the terrorists from releasing her a few months ago.

Jennifer Ukambong Samuel, an aid worker recently rescued from Boko Haram’s captivity, said Leah was doing fine. Giving updates about her well being on Sunday, January 19, in Jos, Jennifer, who was attached to Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA), said though she did not see Leah, another woman held by the insurgents, identified as Alice, confirmed to her that she was doing fine.
