Memphis rapper Young Dolph was murdered in a shoot-out. On Wednesday 2021, Memphis rapper Young Dolph was reportedly shot and killed during a shootout at Makeda cookies store in South Memphis.
Young Dolph was reportedly in his camo Lamborghini picking up cookies for his mother from Makeda cookies store when a random car drove by and fired at him in from of the store. At this time the shooter has not been identified.
For those who are not sure who Young Dolph is, Young Dolph was born Adolph Thornton in 1985 and grew up in South Memphis. He started his career on the street before he used the money he saved to start his rap career. He was never signed and remained an independent artist, owning rights to all his masters.
He released his first album in 2016 titled, “King of Memphis” which his rap style being described as clever and funny. Young Dolph was eventually pushed into major popularity when he released his single “Boyz and Da Hood” which racked major views on YouTube.
Some of his other popular releases include “Believe me” in which he talks about planning a better life and future for his two young sons.
He also jumped on RNB in 2020 which was produced by Jucee and featured Megan thee Stallion and focused more on his hustler mentality and dedication to his future in smooth RNB notes.
Fans have taken to social media to share their love for the rapper and talk about many of the charitable ways he contributed to and inspired his community during his lifetime. He is survived by 2 young children and his wife and siblings and parents.
