The internet has turned on China Anne McClain after her Tiktok about God

The internet has turned on China Anne McClain after her Tiktok about God. The internet has been talking about Lil Nas X Montenro video since its drop last Friday.
The video has drawn a lot of criticism for the artist’s use of “devil” and “satan” imagery. Many have said the video is against their religion and God and many just found the imagery to be bad for children.
Lil Nas X has been deflecting a lot of the criticism with memes and jokes but he also made a somewhat serious response. The response was that he used the devil imagery as a way to reclaim many religious people’s claims that homosexuals are “going to hell”.
we are in a pandemic & there is a mass shooting every week but y’all are gathering in church to discuss shoes lmaooo https://t.co/PW9Szwd8KB

As some of you may know, Lil Nas X came out as Gay in 2019. Many LGBT youths agreed with Lil Nas X and are completely in support of the metaphor.
However, one celebrity who many did not expect to speak on the matter was “China Anne McClain”.
China Anne McClain is a former Disney star who is very popular on Tiktok for her POV videos and funny skits. She is also a talented gospel singer and some of her videos include her talking about her fate and her relationship with God.
She did not speak on the issue to bash Lil Nas X, but rather to speak on her love of God. According to China, many people judge Christianity based on their relationships with Christians rather than with God. She said that many conversations about religion especially as it has to do with the Gay community often become “Christians VS The gay community”.
@chinamcclainGod is good. humans are imperfect. we should put a human’s wrongdoings on the doorstep they belong on. <3
Her intent was to speak on the Love of God rather than focus on people and she has come out to clarify.
speaking about these things always comes with backlash from people that were hurt. not by me, but by some other person in their life. i’m easier to cuss out over the internet but i really just feel bad because i wish they hadn’t been hurt in the first place.
God is good though.— China† (@chinamcclain) March 31, 2021
While many people had no problem with what she said, the conversation was quickly derailed by people who took the video as a personal attack on the LGBT community by China McClain and are now threatening to cancel her. Here is what some people are saying.
lil nas x tweeted about his history of abuse from Christians when jt came to his sexuality and China Anne McClain made a whole ass tik tok on why he’s low key not “giving God a chance”. I’m so tired of religious people

Anyway, what do you think about what China had to say? How do you feel about “The internet has turned on China Anne McClain after her Tiktok about God”? Would you also be cancelling her?
This isn’t the first time the rapper has deflected criticism with humour and memes, to check out other times Lil Nas X was a meme lord, check out our article here.
